Use AI/Machine Learning APP to Measure Logs | Woodworking Network

The Timbeter app measures the number, diameter and other parameters of logs.

If smartphones can recognize faces, can they not recognize the logs in the photos? This is a question asked by the creator of the Timbeter application.

The app works by taking pictures of wooden piles or log container trucks, and Timbeter performs numerical calculations.

Timbeter is an Estonia-based company that uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and image recognition methods for efficient, transparent and data-driven timber supply chain management. Timbeter can determine the number of logs, the volume and diameter of each log, and store the measurement results in the cloud, providing a real-time overview of the measurement results related to their type and quality. Users can view inventory, active storage status and create instant reports with just a few taps of buttons to help managers and accountants keep up to date.

Timbeter has payment options, depending on how many digital measurements are required. Monthly subscription provides unlimited measurement; or provides prepaid picture package.
